Miami’s Largest and Longest-Running Literary Society
Founded in 1988, Brickell Avenue Literary Society dba Miami Literary Society has been at the forefront of Miami’s literary scene for over 35 years. As a cornerstone of Miami’s literary community, the Society has hosted more than 200 distinguished authors, offering members the opportunity to engage with some of the brightest minds in contemporary fiction and memoir.
Exclusive Author Luncheons—A Chance to Connect with Literary Giants
Our signature luncheons are intimate events where members connect directly with celebrated authors about their newest book. Notable guests have included Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award winners such as Percival Everett, Hernan Diaz, and Lauren Groff. During these gatherings, authors share readings from their latest works, discuss their creative processes, and offer insights beyond the page. Attendees enjoy thought-provoking Q&A sessions, and meaningful conversations and receive a signed copy of the featured novel.

A Partnership That Brings the Best of Literature to Miami
In collaboration with the renowned Books & Books, Miami Literary Society curates an exceptional roster of authors of contemporary literary fiction. This partnership enhances our ability to present a rich and diverse literary experience each season.

A Community for the Discerning Reader… And A New Way to Network
Our membership invites newcomers to join a vibrant community in Miami of literary enthusiasts. Connect with fellow readers, professionals and retirees who share a passion for stories and the written word.
